Unauthorized Dumping: Clairmont Landfill's Bird Crisis Resolved

Next time you go to the Clairmont Landfill's Shelve n' Share, you might notice that there are no birds passing bowel movements on your stuff, or worse, on yourself! It was a pleasure to solve this problem for the Clairmont Landfill over the past week. Check out these amazing ceilings!

Before the OSB panels were installed, trusses were exposed with chicken wire layered beneath it to keep birds from passing through. However, birds were still finding there way up there, getting trapped, and then making dumps in unauthorized areas.

Although the process went smoothly for the most part, every job has its obstacles. Take for example when the Genie lift got stuck in the mud...

What a great opportunity to mention how amazing the Landfill staff were. The supervisor of these buildings really came through for us in this situation and pulled us out! From this point forward we decided to use scaffolding, which turned out to be much easier to use anyway! The supervisor also disposed of our scraps for us near the end which was a surprising relief after a hard day of work.

Check out this beautiful sunrise we got to witness one morning! Makes me kind of jealous of the staff.

...Anyway back on track. We finished the cold storage ceiling and the shelve n' share ceiling and we couldn't be happier. We think it turned out great!
